I have CIRS, a chronic inflammatory condition that is triggered by the presence of mold and mycotoxins. After many expensive tests and costly machine analyses, I was struggling to figure out where the mold was coming from. I would treat some spot only to have my blood test reveal that mold was still present. Enter Ace, the mold sniffing dog. Ace found mold behind baseboards, around windows and under sinks. All these areas had previously been inspected by others and had been found to be clean. Ace was right and all the expensive electronics were wrong. And, to top it off, Ace’s human partner, Fab, knows a ton about construction and is able to understand how the construction elements might be impacting the remediation. We recently had a bathroom remodel completed and I was not confident in the workmanship of our plumber at all. I was concerned that the pipes behind tile had not been done properly and they might be leaking. We had Ace out to do a little sniffing around with the hope of either alleviating or confirming the concerns we had. Happily our shower was fine, but Ace did find some mold under our sinks and in an attic area. These areas were not on our radar. We are happy to have had them identified so that we could remediate the issues before they became big problems. We are grateful to Ace and her handlers.
