About The Team

🐾 Meet Ace

Ace is a certified scent-detection dog trained through the Florida Canine Academy, a nationally recognized program specializing in mold detection. She’s trained to detect 16 types of mold — including those hidden behind walls, under flooring, or inside HVAC systems — with far greater accuracy than traditional testing methods.

Rescued from a Kentucky shelter in 2024, Ace showed exceptional drive and intelligence from the start. After intensive training, she now works daily with her certified handlers to provide fast, accurate, non-invasive inspections. Her skills are maintained through daily drills and formal recertification every 90 days.

Ace supports homeowners, real estate professionals, and businesses across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama — helping clients identify hidden mold early and act with confidence.

Ace’s Handlers

Ace Mold Detection is a family-operated service based in Middle Tennessee. Owners Karen and Fab personally conduct every inspection alongside Ace, their certified scent-detection beagle. As trained mold inspectors and professional handlers, they deliver a hands-on, health-focused approach — with no outsourcing, no surprises, and a genuine commitment to helping clients protect their homes and health.

The team is certified in canine-assisted mold detection through the Florida Canine Academy, under the direction of founder Bill Whitstine, a pioneer in the field. Their beagle, Ace, has undergone rigorous training to detect mold at a level far beyond what human inspectors or instruments can typically achieve.

Clients choose Ace Mold Detection for accurate results, fast turnaround, and a health-first approach to indoor air quality. Whether you’re dealing with unexplained symptoms, persistent odors, or just want peace of mind, you’ll get professionalism, precision, and care with every inspection.
